The Bay Ridges Drive-in, (pictured to the right) was also built Mr. Allen. It opened in 1963 and was operated by Odeon Theatres until it closed in
The Bay Ridges Drive-in, (pictured to the right) was also built Mr. Allen. It opened in 1963 and was operated by Odeon Theatres until it closed in 1973. The Tee Pee (pictured in the right hand corner of the picture) was owned and operated by the Century Theatres. The greater Toronto market once had other drive-ins that have since closed. They included the North-East drive-in (Victory Park and Hwy 401), North-West drive-in (Dixon Road and Hwy 401), Scarborough Drive-in (Kennedy Road and Lawrence Ave.), Dufferin Drive-in ( Dufferin street and Hwy 7), the 400 Drive-in ( Hwy 400 and Hwy7) and the 7and27 Drive-in (Hwy7 and Hwy27).
